reflecting a little

I totally forgot to post these in my other blog that I updated the other day with pictures. This is Aaron's ultrasound picture!

He looks a lot like Daniel did in his ultrasound! Cute as a button!

Daniel climbed into bed, like he does most nights!

He thinks he is so funny too!

Love this picture!!! This one was supposed to be first. He climbed up there with his hat on!! He's so cute!

I miss reading every one's blog and blogging, as well. I haven't got long and Aaron will be here. I'm 29 weeks today. I have been wondering how things will be. It'll be sweet to have a newborn in the house again. Though, I know it will be much different with a toddler here too. Daniel is growing up so much, but when he is asleep I realize he is still such a "baby". He's trying to say so many words and really comprehending so much. It amazes me! Mike and I were looking through his albums last night, which I am almost done with, and we were amazed. I have a lot of firsts in pictures. I have where he sat up first, got on his hands and knees first, clapped first, and so on. It just amazed us how much he is doing now. It seems just like yesterday he couldn't sit up or crawl. Now,he's running around full speed all the time! Babies are so neat to watch grow into toddlers. I can't wait to have Aaron here and watch his development. I love being a Momma and never thought I would. When I pick Daniel up and he wraps him arms around my neck and kisses me on the cheek,I melt. Or when he giggles at me for something that is not even funny, I melt. Or when I'm rocking him and he will pull up to my shoulder and go to sleep,I melt. I love him so much! I don't see how I'll love Aaron as much as I do him,but I am told that I will. I can't wait to see!

We were looking through our photo album too. While we dated I took so many pictures of us! Now, that we live here away from family or friends we rarely get a photo together. I'm so glad I took all those while we dated. We were SO young looking and a lot more trim! You can see the love in our eyes and on our faces. He made the comment last night, "Nothing was stopping us,was it?" I laughed and said no. He then said, "That's what I have always love about us,nothing stops us." I love my husband! I was talking about how skinny I was and the figure I had,not in a depressed way,but like wow I was small! I really needed the "marriage and baby" weight too! He told me I was drop dead gorgeous and had a rocking body haha He then went onto say he loves me no matter what my body looks like,it's my heart he married me for,not my body. I love when we can just focus on each other. We have some great pictures together and so many memories. I've just been in a reflective mood the past 2 days. Looking at those pictures, we were talking about how we never would have imagined having 2 kids in 3 years. Our 3rd year anniversary will be December 4th. It seems like we've been together longer at times. I could not imagine life with another man, though I thought a few others were my husband. I am so glad that Mike is my husband. Daniel has become quiet fond of him over the last several months. Oh it's so sweet! I love seeing Mike play with him! Daniel will grab his water gun and chase him all over. He's seen Mike put his gun in his gun belt,so Daniel tries to put his in his diaper! It's the cutest thing! He mimics anything Mike does.

It's just so.. I don't know how to describe it. Like I'm looking in from the outside sometimes. Especially when we visit my parents. It's so neat to go back to "home" and have my family. Have a husband,a toddler, and one on the way. Surreal I guess would be the word. I can't imagine what life will be like with both, Daniel and Aaron. Daniel is so happy, high spirited, and funny! I wonder all the time what Aaron will be like. Will he be shy? Energetic? Laid back? Funny? Daniel is a fireball. I sort of hope Aaron has that about him too, though it'd be nice if he'd sit more than Daniel haha It's not hit me that I'll have 2 little boys. Boys! I would not trade them for anything! Girls are fun,but boys are too! I am so thankful to God for my blessings. He's been overly wonderful to me. Some days I wonder why? I fail so much I feel like and I know women who I think are far better Mothers than I. Yet, He trusts me with 2 of his angels. In awe I am.

How great is our God?
sing with me
How great is our God?
and all will see
how great, how great is our God!!

what has been going on?

My it seems like weeks since I have been on here to update about anything in detail. I'll start with Winter Jam and next my appointment.

February 16:
I was so excited to go to Winter Jam! It was a gift from Mike, although he couldn't make it. Robyn and Heather picked Daniel and I up for it. It was packed! Oh goodness,we waited in line to get in for at least 15 minutes. We could never find a seat. Every time we asked if seats were available they told us they were saved. So we ended up standing near a rail, but we had a good view. It was just rough to stand. I wore tennis shoes, the only smart one. ;) Robyn and Heather held Daniel a good bit. Newsong was amazing! When they did Arise My Love, oh wow! Such power came over me,such love. Brandon Heath was good too,he just seemed really shy. Toby Mac of course rocked the house. Daniel loved it! He recognized the music! We had a blast. I may have written about this, sorry if I have,my memory isn't the best. :)

February 19:
Almost a week from this day I started feeling sick. I only vomited once, but would feel sick all day. I used the preggie pops and they did help. They are tasty too! :) So I wasn't feeling to wonderful this morning, but did eat a banana on the way to my appointment. I woke up to a note from my wonderful husband. He's so caring and sweet. The day before I picked up Heather,my SIL, and she stayed the night so she would be able to keep Daniel Thursday morning. I wasn't nervous like last time. I actually got there 15 minutes early and got in early. I weighed in at 146lbs and my blood pressure was fine. Cindy made it in there and was very excited to see me! We talked a bit and I was eased by talking to her. I am 6 weeks,I was just 5 last week. I can't believe how soon I found out. She didn't give me an actual date, which is fine. I got sick of everyone making a big deal out of the date. You never know when it will come. I will ask next time so people will not complain about it though. It will approximately come anywhere in the first 3 weeks in October. She doesn't want me going over 40 weeks. I wasn't quite sure what she would say about me being pregnant so soon after a C-section. She asked me before I could ask her about a VBAC. She wanted to know if I wanted one? And of course I told her yes! She said okay we can do it! I was so happy and relieved! She said the hospital doesn't have any certain policy on it. I told her I had been exercising, walking, and taking vitamins. She was pleased, but told me I may not be able to get the prenatal ones down the next few weeks and she is so right. She said that she does believe if I don't eat sweets (treat myself occasionally) and don't drink anything other than water it will make a difference. I believe it will too. The only problem I had was that Daniel was not in the position he needed to be. I asked her if I went to long last time and she said no. She said if I would have been in danger or Daniel she would have not let me keep laboring. I was happy to hear that too. I let her know we did have some negative feed back about how long I labored. She said it was nonsense,I was doing what my body was wanting me to do. I'm so glad I get to use her again! She did the pap smear and felt my uterus. It did not even hurt!! She said the breastfeeding widen my pelvic some. So that is good news too! She gave me a book to find and a number to get in touch with some ladies who meet and discuss VBAC's during the week or once a month. I'm going to call them tomorrow. I'm sure it will be helpful! :) I had some blood work done too, which I hate. Yuk! I thought I was gonna cry when she stuck the needle in my arm. Having insurance is so wonderful too! I filled out some info and paid the copay. It's only $25 dollars. Oh such a blessing after the $500 we paid with Daniel each visit for 7 months. It was a good day! I go back March 19th at 9:30. I'm not sure if Mike has off that day. If he does work it'll probably be afternoon shift,so he can keep Daniel or come with me. We'll be able to hear the heartbeat that time.

The Weekend:
And thank you for your prayers. Since Sunday I have not felt sick. I have been taking the Phenergan before I go to sleep, but I was doing that Friday and Saturday and still feeling sick. Friday,my birthday, I wasn't feeling too well and Mike wasn't either. We did not go to the outlet mall in Daphne. Another reason is because it was FREEZING and I didn't want Daniel out in it. We lounged for the most part and then he took me to Olive Garden. Oh SO good!!! Daniel enjoyed it too! He got me a set of hot rollers for my birthday and a sugar free Chocolate Creme Pie. :) He knows me too well. Haley and Wesley had Landon's birthday party Saturday since they left this morning for North Carolina. So we went to that, even though we both weren't feeling well. Daniel had so much fun with his cousins! :) They bought a brand new travel camper and it's nice! They'll be gone for 8 weeks. She said they are in a small town,it doesn't even have a Wal-Mart,I'll have to ask which is it. Some of you gals may be close to her. So be praying for them as they are away from home. Haley just texted me and said she burnt her left hand really bad. :-(

Randomness:
We enjoyed the rest of our off days just around Mobile. It's neat to know our family is growing. We also got a Bible study to do. It's called Experiencing God,some of you may have heard of it. It's great so far! I haven't been craving as much stuff as I was. Oh but I do want some chicken from Foosackly's and their foosackly sauce. YUM! I have to start walking again tomorrow. I am taking my folic acid vitamin, but can't get the prenatal or Super B-Complex down. Blah! We haven't looked at names anymore. I really like Michael Timothy or Michael Ryan. Oh and we found out Daniel can face the front. We found a car seat that turns into a booster that we are going to purchase this weekend. We also found bunk beds we are going to get. I think that would be more practical for now. We'll just have to buy a dresser for their room, since we'll need more drawers. :) Oh and Daniel has been sleeping on a mattress on the floor in our room. He did fine the first 2 nights. The second 2 he realized where he was,so we just put him in the bed with us. He just kicks so hard. He'll wake us up by kicking us in his sleep. :-/ For nap time he sleeps on the mattress and never knows it haha Kids are so funny. I think overtime he'll sleep there even when he realizes he's not in the bed with us. Mike has been getting up with him so I can get sleep and be up with him during the day. He's such a great husband. He's so considerate and caring. I'm blessed to be his wife. :) I guess that's about all. Mike went back to work today,he's still on the afternoon/night shift. Daniel has taken to him more since he's been getting up with him at night.

I have been sitting with Daniel once or twice a day reading a book to him, just a very simple one. It's helped with his tension span really and it's amazing. I am repeating 2 words a week to him. He tries to say book and balloon,it is just mind blowing. He's got lots of potential. hehe.. I'm bragging on my handsome son. He just ran in here with a clear bag over his head lol He is always making us laugh. I'll leave ya'll with that. Sorry if I read and don't comment or if I haven't read at all. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. :)

God bless!

Anniversary Date

I've been MIA for almost a week. I've just been taking a break and doing other things. I haven't even read any blogs since last Sunday. Things have been great around here with us. We've been just enjoying the Christmas season. It's been rather warm, until today, this past week. I pray everyone else has been great as well.

Thursday was our anniversary date. I hate doing things past the actual date, but we had to wait until Robyn was out for break to keep him. It was so much fun going out with my husband! Daniel did amazing too! Robyn and him do so well together. I had nothing to worry about. We got out the door about 1 and went to eat first. We decided on O Charley's instead of Ruby Tuesday. We both forgot how nice it is to go on a date. It was so relaxing. We also forgot how nice it is to eat without interruptions. Wow, I'm not sure we've done that in a long time. It was like in the 70's which wasn't what we thought it would be,so we didn't do anything outside. We thought about Blakely State Park, where we went while we were engaged, but it was too hot to walk and climb haha We just played it by ear. That's how we used to do it while we dated. We didn't make plans most of the time during the week. He was in academy and when he got home on Friday nights, we just did whatever Saturday. It was nice not to have to rush and be on such a schedule too. Mike was very relieved! We went to one of the malls and just strolled hand in hand. I miss that too! I found a Nativity set at Kirkland's on sale,so we bought it. We've been wanting one,but just never found the right one. All the figurines are dressed in white with verses on them. I love it! It wasn't too packed,so we just took our time and looked in different stores. He wanted me to show him somethings I may want for Christmas,so we went in Bath & Body Works. What girl doesn't love that store, right? Before we left I had to get some soft pretzel sticks from Auntie Anne's. I just love those things! I was pretty stuffed from lunch,so I took most of them home. I wanted to pick up our Christmas cards,so we went to one of the Christian bookstores. I found the perfect ones! I love to send out cards, whether they are holiday ones or not. We wanted to get Robyn a little something extra for Christmas because she has helped us out so much financially. So I found something she could put on her desk that was so pretty. It was a bronze cross on a green base and the words faith in blocks beside the cross. It has Hebrews 11:1 on the base. It was so cute! We bought Facing the Giants too since it was only $5. We headed on home after that stop. We had such a great time! We talked and just enjoyed each other. I love my husband so much and it is hard to believe we've been married 2 years already. While we were dating we just couldn't wait to get married. It seemed like it would take forever for him to finish school and us find a home. Time really does go so fast in life. I realize that I do need to not be as stressed and just relax. Oh Daniel did so good! He didn't even cry she said. She took him in his room while we left and she said he didn't even notice we were gone. I know that he trusts us and knows we would never leave him. Everyone told me if I held him all the time when he was an infant that he would be attached and be spoiled. ha! My answer is: If you push them away while they're young, they'll push you away when they're older. They played, danced to music (his favorite is Toby Mac) and he took a nap. He was happy to see us,but he had fun. I'm so glad we have someone that we can feel confident in leaving him with for our anniversary. That is the one time that I do want to go out alone with Mike. I'm not big on leaving him for every little thing and neither is Mike. He's our child and we love being with him too. Of course as he gets older and really does understand what we are doing we may go out more often. I just think it's very important to not leave them a lot when they are young and don't really comprehend what you are doing. So it was a great date and I anticipate the next one. My birthday is coming up in February and he already has something planned. I'm shocked ha! He's not a planner and tends to forget things. I can't wait to see what is up his sleeve!

We also went to visit my parents on Friday. It was a lot of fun! I took lots of pictures and I will upload them this week to my picture blog,Beauty of the Lord. Ya'll don't forget to check that out. Yesterday we spent the afternoon shopping with his Mother and 2 sisters. We had a good time! The mall was SO busy though and I did not like that. We will be busy this coming week,so forgive me if I don't get to your blog or to participate in the things I usually do. Tuesday I'll be making cookies and candy for the FYM Christmas party that night;Wednesday I'll be fixing 2 pies for Thursday. I am going to do a Vanilla Creme Pie,instead of chocolate, along with a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Pie. So I hope they turn out good! Wow, reading back over this part just is insane. I waited to so long to be a wife, mother, and have a family to share with my family. God is just so amazing. He is so merciful, loving, and trustworthy. If not for Him, I would not have the desires of my heart. Thank You,Father!

I pray and hope all of you have a blessed Christmas Eve and Day. Remember the real reason for the season,Jesus' birth. It is also a wonderful time to enjoy family, friends, and church family. I am so blessed I have met all of you through blogger and I pray I get to know you better this coming year.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

My Love

There is my beautiful pink rose Mike got me!

That vase is what my flowers came in on our 1st wedding anniversary!

Yesterday I wasn't having the best day. Daniel was very whiney and I was too. I was talking to my sweet husband and he knew I was feeling down. So when he got home from work (which was not on time due to a wreck) he brought me a single pink rose. I love pink and I love flowers! He's not always romantic in the ways other women talk about their husbands being. But he does it at just the right time and I know it's from his heart and not just because of a holiday or anniversary. I love him so much and I'm so blessed to be his wife. Thank you Lord for my husband and his love for me. He doesn't always do the "romantic" things I think he should, but I always know he loves me more than I deserve. Let me in return show him the love he shows me.
